    The Battle of Antietam Half Dollar was released in 1937 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bloodiest one day battle in American history.

    The obverse design features generals George B. McClellan and Robert E. Lee.

    The reverse features the Burnside Bridge and the date of the Battle of Antietam.
