1000 rubles Yudenich

One of the most beautiful bills of the Russian volunteer army

One of the most beautiful bills of the volunteer armies of Russia – 1000 rubles Of the field Treasury of the North-Western front, issued in 1919 – bears 2 facsimile signatures on the obverse – General from the infantry N. Yudenich and Manager of the Finance Department S. Lianozov. Yudenich's last name is well known to everyone, but what is the Manager of the Finance Department famous for?
Stepan Georgievich of Lianozovo called the 'Russian Rockefeller': oil fields of Baku, concession a monopoly on catching sturgeon in the estuary which flows into the Caspian sea rivers and he owns the brand of caviar 'Russian delicacy' film company 'Biochrom' glass pavilion in Petrovsky Park of Moscow – it's all part of the wealth of a descendant of the Armenians is included in the beginning of the XX century, the ten richest people of Russia.

Stepan's father also purchased a plot of land in the Moscow region along the Savelovskaya railway, which his son turned into an elite dacha district. Stepan Georgievich organized everything on a Grand scale: a road was brought to the dachas, telephone communication was conducted, ponds were laid out, cabs were constantly on duty at the railway station – 2-storey buildings with flower beds around beckoned Muscovites with a comfortable rest in the bosom of nature.
The village – which was logical – was named Lianozovo. What is not logical is that the Bolsheviks kept this name on the maps of the Moscow region, although Stepan Georgievich personally caused a lot of trouble to the Soviet authorities – both as head of the emigrant North-Western government in Estonia, and later in Paris by his activities in the so-called Naz. Torgprom, an organization that aimed to 'fight the Bolsheviks on the economic front.'
the Treasury of the North-Western front took advantage of S. G. Lianozov's foreign connections and placed an order to print its banknotes in Sweden.
The Swedes have tried to give the bills a martial air, as it befits a money VS: battle axes, shields, pole-axes, battle flags is on the left and right – eagle, taking a squirming snake claws, I suppose -  the Bolshevik vermin. For the eagle, they received the popular nickname – 'lionfish»

Another nickname – 'Petrogradka' - bills received on the basis of the promises printed on the reverse: 'Subject to exchange for state credit cards in the order and within the time specified by the Petrograd office of the State Bank.'
There was a problem with the exchange – Petrograd Yudenich did not take it. As a result, out of the circulation in the amount of 1 billion 200 million rubles, including all issued in nominal value, 125 million rubles were spent – on the salaries of officers and soldiers. The remainder was sold in revel for use, partly in a candy factory for decorating candy boxes, and partly in a stationery factory for paper-making.
According to numbering, the bill had 3 varieties: series 'A', series 'B' and without the series designation before the number.

I have in my collection the 3rd version - the number 197795 without the letter designation of the series. Safety of the bill – UNC: you can immediately see that the candy was not wrapped in it.
